Tour life would be very boring without my techie stuff - I have an iphone, ipad AND a laptop and these items really save me on a day to day basis. Here are some great items that are amazing to have on tour:
This is literally the greatest invention ever. You can upload a bunch of your favorite pictures and the digital picture frame creates a nice little slide show for your hotel room. I can’t tell you what a difference it makes having pictures of your friends and family around you when you are on the road.
I despise using the “business centers” in hotels. Having your own printer and scan wand saves SO much trouble. Plus they travel easily (I put mine in my trunk!)
Hotel wi-fi can be sketchy and it’s always nice to have your OWN set up. These travel well and are super easy to install in your room. Then you can watch streaming video and not get filled with rage when it’s buffering every five seconds. So annoying.
Honestly. I would die without my iPad on tour. I buy all my fashion magazines on it, my novels, games, HBOGo, AND I can face time with the fam when I’m feeling home sick. The uses are endless. I also keep my track sheets on it for the show. This is a FANTASTIC gift for the actor on tour in your life.
Almost every actor in our cast has a Kindle - and for good reason. There just isn’t room on tour to pack a million books so it’s an ideal gift for the traveling gypsy actor. BONUS: there are tons of adorable covers to choose from to make it your own!
Having new movies waiting for me at the hotel front desk when I check in after a long travel day is literally the best thing EVER. This is a fantastic gift for the traveling actor – especially because Netflix also has streaming video! My favorite.

For the times when you want to tune everyone and everything out. These are my saviors on plane rides. I like to put them on, listen to Chopin nocturnes, and drift off to sleep. These also help when you are trying to tune out all the hotel noise!

These are the BEST mini speakers ever. They pop up for that extra boom ba doom boom boom ba doom boom bass AND you can stash them literally anywhere - they are TINY. Such a great gift!
