It is officially summer! I love the summer day dress - it's super easy and you look chic and ready to go in two seconds. During the days before I have to be at the theater I like to do funtivities - what better way to look cool and comfortable than in a great little dress? Here are a few of my favorites:
Rebecca Taylor is one of my favorite designers for easy, sexy, summer dresses. This one is so flattering and breezy and looks great with flats OR strappy wedges. Plus the gorgeous draping in front looks amazing when you are walking along the boardwalk!
Not only is this dress a delicious shade of orange sherbet, but it has ultra flattering sleeves for those of us that don't necessarily like to have naked arms out during the day. Bonus: it has a tie belt to cinch in that waist! Adorable!
Nothing says summertime like a chic, short, swingy white dress. This cut looks flattering on everyone AND it makes you look even more tan than you are! This would look incredible with some leopard wedges and fancy red cross-body bag!
You know what I love in the summer? STRIPES. Despite what you've probably heard, stripes can be ULTRA flattering - especially on a dress like this. The V neck makes your decollete look divine and the nipped - in waist is very Italian sea-side. Bonus: THIS IS A $20 DRESS. What???
5. Forever 21 Surplice Empire Waist Dress:
I am obsessed with the romantic cut of this dress. The empire waist is flattering to almost every single body type and it comes in a bunch of great colors. Plus you could actually buy this dress in every color because it's $13. Amaze.
