5 Key Pieces: TEXAS CHIC

Before arriving in Texas I thought everything would be large and ridiculous - what I have found is the opposite!  San Antonio is a gorgeous, diverse, chic city with a style all it's own.  I've put together a list of my 5 key pieces for looking your cowgirl best:

I love the off - the - shoulder sexiness of this dress - plus it's swingy, flirty, and I adore the southwest - inspired print!

Every cowgirl needs a great pair of jeans!  These make your legs look ultra long and they look fantastic with boots

Frye boots are the ultimate in cowgirl luxury.  They last forever and look fantastic with almost everything in your wardrobe.  I love these because of the great distressed leather.

This hat is lightweight, and super cool.  It shades you from the sun and makes you look like a gorgeous, sunny farmer's daughter - so sexy!

I adore turquoise and it is a must for any cowgirl.  This bracelet is so chic and it goes with virtually anything - I would love to wear it with a sunny white cotton dress!

Yee haw!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2011 was one of the most spectacular, challenging, rewarding, educational, incredible years of my life so far.  It was filled with blessings and sorrows as most wonderful adventures usually are.  I booked the most important job of my career (so far), made some beautiful new friends, learned some difficult lessons about myself, made some very large, very messy mistakes, lost my beloved dog, Ruby, traveled a huge part of our glorious country, laughed until I cried many many times, had meals in some ridiculous restaurants, played in Disneyland, segwayed all over our nation's capitol with my baby sister, stayed up late laughing and having deep talks with my best, experienced the local flavor of some of the greatest little cities, sang my face off in a fantastic holiday concert with my gorgeous and talented colleagues, delved further into my thirties, experienced one of the most incredible, memorable sunsets on the beach in Ft Lauderdale, purchased some INSANE new items for my wardrobe, had silly times with visiting friends, defended the barricade on my home town's epic stage, grew up, started my fashion blog, learned to play the ukulele, received some beautiful gifts - spiritually, physically, literally, performed on some of the most important stages in our country, talked to Jack Black and Will Ferrell, ran through a snow storm to get to the train home - crying laughing the entire time, had a blast singing my heart out with my fellow mizians on national TV, took a wild trip to VEGAS with my favorites, spent many evenings having fancy family dinners, playing silly games at bars, eating too many french fries, bowling, swimming, celebrating birthdays, laughing backstage, celebrating my birthday with my beloved swing sister, and so many other beautiful memories I can't even begin to name

I hope that this year brings my friends, family, and loves peace, joy, laughter, success, and everything you could possibly wish for.  2012 is going to be a fantastic year and I can't wait to spend every moment of it making more memories with all of you!

Happy New Year!
